PIPA 3D builds models as a list of typed objects — from basic solids and 2D profiles to combinations, engraving and manufacturing objects. Files are stored in the open .pipa format.
The "Parameter" object turns dimensions into formulas — making every model fully parametric and reusable as a component in other projects.
PIPA 3D computes exclusively locally on your device — without the cloud. Exports: STL, 3MF, OBJ, PLY, AMF, glTF, X3D, DXF, PDF, PNG, STEP and OpenSCAD (depending on the edition, see above). Manufacturing output is reserved for the designated editions. The desktop downloads are named PIPA3D-k1ds, PIPA3D-skool, PIPA3D-maker etc.; the web edition runs at pipa3.teckonologia.com.

Every model in PIPA 3D is built from these 38 object types — grouped into six categories.
Box primitive with edge lengths in X, Y and Z plus optional offset.
Cylinder with diameter, height, tapering and selectable segment count.
Sphere defined by its diameter.
Triangular prism with width, height and depth.
Cone defined by diameter and height.
Ring solid with major diameter and tube diameter.
Joins multiple objects into a single whole.
Subtracts objects from one another.
Keeps only the shared region of all objects.
Scales base objects per axis in percent.
Mirrors objects across an axis, with optional offset.
2D rectangle, optionally with rounded corners.
2D circle.
2D triangle.
Combines 2D shapes — with offset and scaling.
Extruded plate from a 2D outline with inner cuts, chamfers and depth.
Rotationally symmetric part from a 2D profile with outer and inner cuts.
Transition body between a bottom and a top 2D profile.
Extrusion of a 2D shape with a twist.
Metric thread (M3–M20 or custom), external or internal.
Text as 3D geometry, with an attachable font file.
SVG graphic as geometry.
Relief mesh generated from an image as a heightmap.
Heightmap wrapped around a cylinder.
Cuts a shape into stacked plates.
Named variable (value, min, max, slider) for formulas — makes models fully parametric.
Imported STL mesh as an attachment.
Embeds another .pipa part with its own parameter values — reusable components.
Copies arranged in rows and columns.
Rotational copies with count, angle and height.
Copies arranged in a hexagonal pattern.
Manufacturing objects can be created and edited as parametric data objects in all editions. The actual manufacturing output (slicing, G-code, production dispatch) requires the designated edition — some still in preparation.
Slicing settings: layer height, walls, infill, filament, first layer, support structures.
FDM printer definition with print bed, extruder and custom G-code before and after the print.
Sends the model to a manufacturing service.
CNC tool definition: diameter, cutting angle, flutes, RPM, coolant, feed rate.
Milling operation with plates, tool, strategy, finishing, tabs and G-code output.
Tool definition for the lathe.
Turning operation with lathe parts, tool, stock, finishing and G-code.

PIPA 3D (also PIPA3D) is the parametric 3D CAD/CAM modeler from TECKONOLOGIA. Models consist of typed objects, dimensions are defined as formulas — every model is fully parametric and reusable.
The browser edition PIPA 3D WEB and the beginner edition PIPA 3D K1DS are free. Additional editions for schools, universities and makers are available via registration keys.
PIPA 3D runs directly in the browser (pipa3.teckonologia.com) and as an app for Windows (Intel/AMD), macOS (Apple Silicon) and Android.
An open file format in which PIPA 3D stores models as a list of typed objects. Using the “Embed pipa” object, .pipa files can be embedded as reusable parts in other projects.

No. PIPA 3D computes exclusively locally on your device — models never leave your device.
